Material development
The materials used for the production of fasteners decisively affect the formability during manufacturing, as well as the mechanical properties, the performance of the elements and the entire connection.
Together with competent partners (industrial companies, institutes), ABC has developed promising materials with advantageous characteristics, particularly in the area of lightweight construction materials:
- Aluminum alloys for fasteners with a high tensile strength and simultaneously high creep stability up to 180° C
- High-strength steels for fasteners with tensile strengths above 1400 MPa for reduced dimensions and thus weight and cost reductions
