History

Altenloh, Brinck & Co. was founded in 1823 in Ennepetal as the first German company to industrially manufacture screws. Just a short time later, the company began exporting its first products. From the very outset, the company placed a focus on quality and innovative engineering services.

In 1967, the company set new benchmarks in the fastener world with the launch of the SPAX® universal screw.

At the turn of the century, the establishment of the ICA International Coldforming Alliance turned ABC into a global player.

In 2003, the Altenloh, Brinck & Co. Group was established in its current form. Today the group consists of three independent companies: SPAX® International, ABC Umformtechnik and SABEU. The headquarters in Westfalen are still used today by the holding company.

Over the course of the years, ABC Umformtechnik has specialized in the development and production of cold formed parts and components for the automotive industry, its suppliers and other industries.

In 2006, the French subsidiarie SFF also joined the group.
